Nastri d’Argento: La Storia was named the Best Series and Napoli Milionaria! the Best TV Movie

La Storia
The adaptation of Elsa Morante’s novel of the same name, considered one of the 100 greatest books ever written, is a clear and vivid depiction of 1940s Rome and the racial persecutions of that era. Produced by Picomedia and written by Giulia Calenda and Archibugi herself, La Storia stars Jasmine Trinca, Elio Germano, Asia Argento, and Valerio Mastandrea. However, the show is stolen by the young Mattia Basciani, who plays the sweet Useppe. The series will receive awards for Francesca Archibugi’s direction (she also served as screenwriter), for the screenplay, for the production, and for its leading actors.
Napoli Milionaria!
Inspired by a comedy by Eduardo De Filippo, “Napoli milionaria” (Rai) has been chosen as the best TV movie of the year for its direction by Luca Miniero starring Massimiliano Gallo and Vanessa Scalera and produced by Picomedia. This decision was made by the votes of the Film Journalists who conclude in Naples at the Court Theater of the Royal Palace the fourth edition of the Nastri d’Argento – Grandi Serie in collaboration with the Film Commission of the Campania Region, with the support of the MiC – General Directorate of Cinema and Audiovisual.
