The enthusiasm is immense. Since its release in theaters on May 1st, Un p’tit truc en plus, directed by Artus, has been breaking all records. The cinematic sensation of the moment, fueled by fantastic word-of-mouth, recently gained another million viewers, bringing its total to 3.4 million spectators. Artus’s comedy is now playing in the big leagues, proudly displaying its numbers alongside French cinema giants like Bienvenue chez les Chtis and Qu’est-ce qu’on a fait au Bon Dieu. This prodigious trajectory continues on the steps of the Cannes Film Festival, where the film’s crew walked this Wednesday, May 22, to attend the premiere of The Count of Monte Cristo. All the actors with mental disabilities posed on the red carpet, accompanied by the other cast members, Artus, Alice Belaïdi, Clovis Cornillac, Céline Groussard, and Marc Riso.
Radiant and extremely smiling, the cast received a magnificent ovation upon their arrival at the top of the Palais des Festivals stairs. The ascent was also very fashionable, marked by the Kering group. However, it almost didn’t happen. After facing several rejections from luxury houses, which justified their decision by a lack of stock, the actors finally got to wear the creations of the French group. On the first day of the festival, Artus shared the news in a video on his Instagram account.
